The few mansions left on Fifth Avenue rarely change hands. But this weekend a mansion on Fifth that was one of the last designed by the architect Stanford White is going on the market for $49 million.

The listing broker, Paula Del Nunzio of Brown Harris Stevens, said that in her 25-year career only two other mansions on Fifth Avenue, including the Duke Semans mansion, which sold for $44 million last year, had changed hands.
