‘Do Go Up The Bloody Stair’. It’s the bluntest suggestion I’ve yet seen on an Historic Scotland information board. Nothing daunted (but a little surprised), I comply. The outlook from the rim of the Rothesay Castle battlements is well worth the short ascent.
