My favourite pub is famous for being the only place on the beautiful Isle of
Rum where you can buy a whisky, meet with friends and gossip in a small (but
perfectly formed) room warmed by a roaring open fire; and all this while
being inside a castle with more character than any other I’ve known.

Kinloch Castle was ahead of its time back when it was built in 1897. It had
