The owner of this mansion on Mercer Island put it up for sale because he wanted to travel with his family.
“It wasn’t moving at all, so he decided after about a year to try to put it up for auction,” Caley Newberry, communications manager for J. P. King Auction Co., said Tuesday. Last week, none of the four registered bidders offered the $15.5 million minimum price.
