Castle in flames – or so it seemed to onlookers | This is Kent

FIVE fire engines, including one from Maidstone, were sent to a false alarm at Dover Castle after the Great Tower appeared to be up in flames.

Two crews from Dover and one from Whitfield attended the scene following reports of smoke issuing from the top of the keep on Wednesday evening last week.
