HIS day last week, Italians came in their numbers to Dublin and to the Aviva Stadium, for a certain rugby match, at which there was only one winner.
And, it was all over bar the shouting and a Mexican wave after 80 minutes.
However, when the Italians came to the Ballea Road, Carrigaline, in county Cork 169 years ago, the result was altogether different, and far more permanent. Something they could be proud of.
