Besides movie stars and luxurious hotels, Cannes also has an incredible chateau fresh on the market—and it may be one of the greatest properties ever on offer in the French Riviera. The Chateau de la Croix des Gardes is perhaps most famous for acting as the backdrop of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1955 classic film To Catch a Thief, which stars Cary Grant and Grace Kelly—who would later go on to become Princess of Monaco, the tiny principality about an hour east of Cannes. It’s also said to have been featured in Alain Resnais’ Last Year at Marienbad.
