Campaigners are trying to raise millions of pounds to save this 750-year-old Welsh castle – Wales Online

It survived the Wars of the Roses, was the home of Henry VIII’s love child and even provided respite to Prince Charles the night before his investiture as Prince of Wales.

But now Ruthin Castle in the Vale of Clwyd, is in danger of crumbling to ruin.

A group of campaigners from the Ruthin Castle Conservation Trust are trying to raise £3m to save the castle from total disrepair.
