Building experts set to step in to save crumbling Greenan Castle after residents’ concerns – Daily Record

A crumbling castle perched on a cliff edge needs a crucial safety check, it is claimed.

Building experts from South Ayrshire Council and Historic Environment Scotland are due to inspect Greenan Castle in response to concerns from residents.

The 16th century romantic ruin is privately owned so the titleholder is responsible for any repairs.

But Alloway and Doonfoot Community Council want to see action.
