Strathaven Community Council have warned people not to visit a well-known local landmark amid fears over crumbling masonry.
Strathaven Castle, which is regularly visited by tourists and locals, underwent emergency repairs in June of this year, when huge concrete slabs were spotted falling from the structure.
Now, the community council say the problems appear to be higher up on the building.
