I WAS surprised that no-one has commented about the Government committing £369 million of public money to repair Buckingham Palace, especially when plans seem to imply that other pensioners living in publicly-owned accommodation will in future be hit by the ‘Bedroom Tax’.

In other words, they will only get help for the size of property that is deemed they need.
