POLLEPEL ISLAND >> A group of West Point cadets is building a new bridge to replace a 40-foot wooden structure on the Hudson River island where Bannerman’s Castle is located.
The bridge originally was supported by a tree on either side and led from the residence on the north trail over a ravine and to the summit.
