Silves castle walls to be repaired

The walls of Silves castle, in the Algarve city of Silves, are to be repaired to a cost of €1.5 million.
Stretches of the castle walls, some of which face onto public roads, are severely degraded and reportedly at risk of collapsing.
According to newspaper Correio da Manhã the cost will be partly financed by EU funds.
