Chirk Castle has had a good year with visitors and have raised enough funds to go towards conservation projects around the estate.
Chirk Castle has said that in 2016, visitors bought 15,405 scones, 16,613 pots of tea and 18,208 coffees in their cafe and now that revenue raised by these sales will go towards essential work on the castle such as on the south wing roof and other smaller projects.
