Extensive inscriptions and witch marks dating back to the medieval period have been discovered at Bodiam Castle in Sussex.

A recent survey commissioned by the National Trust by medieval graffiti expert Matt Champion found a number of significant discoveries which far exceed the quantity of marks the castle was originally thought to have.

Arbitrator provides recommendations to Wickliffe, police union

The city of Wickliffe and the union representing the city’s police dispatchers are going to take more time to review recommendations from a fact finder regarding unresolved issues standing in the way of a new contract.

The hearing, led by Fact Finder Thomas Nowel, involved the Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, which is representing bargaining unit for the city’s police dispatchers vs. the city of Wickliffe.

Potential buyer emerges for fairytale Highland castle

Carbisdale Castle has been taken off the market and it is believed that a wealthy shoe designer is the new potential buyer who wants to turn it into a private home.

Owners the Scottish Youth Hostel Association (SYHA) said that offers for the 109-year-old, 40-bedroom building, sited near Ardgay, are being considered.

It is the second time in two years the castle has been on the brink of being sold.
