Romania’s famous Bran Castle, a business with 60% profit margin in 2016


The company that manages the famous Bran Castle in central Romania, also known as Dracula’s Castle, registered revenues of nearly EUR 5 million in 2016, up 38% year-on-year, and a profit of almost EUR 3 million, up 37% year-on-year, according to data reported to the Ministry of Finance, cited by Bizbrasov.ro.

In 2015, the revenues amounted to some EUR 3.6 million while the profit stood at around EUR 2.2 million.

Bomb disposal experts were called in when a suspicious package was found in the grounds of Chirk Castle today.

The National Trust property’s gardens were cleared during the morning when the package was spotted on the fence line.

Local police were contacted and they in turn requested help from the specialist bomb disposal team.

Three rare black swan cygnets hatch at Kent castle | Meridian – ITV News

Three baby black swans – cygnets – have hatched at Leeds Castle.

There have been a record seven black swan nestings at the castle in
Kent this year.

The young ones are attracting tourists in their own right to the castle.

There are 26 adult black swans in the castle’s moat.

They are the emblem of the castle although it houses many other birds including white mute swans, ducks, coots, geese and moorhens.

Floors Castle hosts Easter family fun day | Border – ITV News

The gates to Floors Castle in Kelso are open to the public especially for Easter weekend.

Castle tours, garden workshops, family fun and outdoor explorations are all taking place within the grounds. There’ll also be bouncy castles, craft stalls and face painting.
