Thornbury Castle, which is on the market with estate agent Savills, was occupied by King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn for 10 days in 1535. The couple were on their honeymoon, according to The Telegraph.

Chirk Castle has had a good year with visitors and have raised enough funds to go towards conservation projects around the estate.

Chirk Castle has said that in 2016, visitors bought 15,405 scones, 16,613 pots of tea and 18,208 coffees in their cafe and now that revenue raised by these sales will go towards essential work on the castle such as on the south wing roof and other smaller projects.

Deal for Knockabbey Castle sale close six years after it first hit the market – Talk of the Town

A deal for the sale of the stunning Knockabbey Castle could be back on.

The Louth Village castle has been on the market for almost six years but looked to be on the verge of a sale last August when it went sale agreed with selling agents Coldwell Banker Leeson Estates.

A HISTORIC house and museum have been forced to cut ties with the National Portrait Gallery after its funding was pulled.
