VisitEngland awards top accolade to Lincoln Castle – Lincolnshire Today

Lincoln Castle has been christened a top visitor attraction after it was awarded a prestigious Gold Accolade from VisitEngland.

The castle scored highly in a number of categories including visitor experience, facilities, service and staff to achieve the ultimate Gold Accolade. The honour is given to the top 10% of attractions in VisitEngland’s Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme.

Historic Scotland Sees Annual Visitors Hit 4 Million Mark For First Time | Edinburgh Guide

Historic Scotland, the agency that runs many of Scotland’s historic sites, has recorded an unprecedented 4 million visitors over its current financial year.

The agency reported an additional 470,000 visitors to its 300-plus attractions, between April 2016 and now. It’s the equivalent of a 13% year-on-year increase.
