It is hoped opening Castle Cornet earlier than usual can help boost tourism in Guernsey.
The attraction will open on Friday 17th February to coincide with the half-term break.
Initially it will be open from 10am to 3pm seven days a week. All its five museums and shop will be open, but initially not the café, tours or noonday gun.
It is as part of Visit Guernsey’s drive to increase tourism revenue by £14.8 million and visitor numbers by 10%.

Windsor Castle to feature on 10 stamps released by Royal Mail – BT
A new set of stamps featuring images of Windsor Castle is being launched to celebrate the “grandeur” of the royal residence.
Royal Mail said the 10 stamps are a photographic celebration of the castle, the oldest inhabited castle in the world and the official residence of the Queen.
Three of the stamps show exterior views of the castle while interior rooms, including St George’s Hall which was restored after a fire in 1992, are also featured.
