Hay Castle restoration plan agreed by national park – BBC News

Plans to restore Hay Castle in Powys have been agreed, with work set to start in spring 2017.

Brecon Beacons National Park Authority approved improvements to the Medieval keep and gatehouse, the mansion house, Victorian coach house and outbuildings.

It comes after Hay Castle Trust received a £4.4m lottery grant and raised £1m itself.

Visitors to Keighley’s Airedale Centre will get a taste of the outdoors indoors with a Pop-up Park opening in one of the shop units on Monday, 5 December.

This is a charming little castle built on a precipice above the town of Bled, overlooking Lake Bled. The views from the castle over the lake and town to the mountains beyond are really spectacular. BORINDGON Hall in Plymouth has become Devon’s second five star hotel.

The 16th Century country manor hotel, in Plympton, has been awarded the top-rung status by motoring organisation the AA. The privately-owned hotel, was already the highest rated establishment in Plymouth.
