The stunning Knockabbey Castle in Louth Village is back on the market after a sale for it fell through.

Talk of the Town reported in August how the castle looked set to sell after more than five years on the market after going sale agreed with Dublin-based estate agents Coldwell Banker Leeson Estates.

However, it appears the sale couldn’t be completed with the 11 bed property now back on the market with a €1.25m asking price.

Ashford Castle enjoys ‘exceptional year’ on €100m investment | Irish Examiner

This has been “an exceptional year” for the five-star Ashford Castle hotel, with earnings and revenues likely to increase significantly from 2015.

That is according to the general manager of the luxury hotel, Niall Rochford, who said that the hotel has enjoyed occupancy rates “of the mid to high 90s” between mid-May and the end of September this year.

Two Canadians survive a night at Dracula’s Castle | Video


Bucharest: All night long, a cold wind howled around the gothic castle that inspired the Dracula legend, as a Canadian brother and sister became the first people to pass the night there in 70 years.

– Jester school and spooks provide castle Hallowe’en fun

SPOOKY tales from the castle keep and a medieval jester school were among the activities at Conisbrough’s Hallowe’en celebrations.

Conisbrough Castle held a Spooky Spectacular for families on Saturday, with ghoulish craft activities, face painting and a fancy dress competition.

Architecture firm Hugh Broughton Architects Granted York Castle Planning


Architecture firm Hugh Broughton Architects has been granted planning permission for contentious designs to revamp the keep of York Castle.
