Selwyn Blaylock left Montreal for Trail in 1899.
“After getting his BSc in engineering and metallurgy at McGill” explains Royal BC Museum Archivist Frederike Verspoor.
Blaylock had accepted a job with Consolidated Mining and Smelting, and he moved up within the company.
In 1926, he purchased 13 acres of land in Nelson with a small cottage.
