PUBLISHED: April 21, 2017 14:28 Chirk Castle grounds closed after suspicious package found
Bomb disposal experts were called in when a suspicious package was found in the grounds of Chirk Castle today.
The National Trust property’s gardens were cleared during the morning when the package was spotted on the fence line.
Local police were contacted and they in turn requested help from the specialist bomb disposal team.
